Nineveh Jewellery Trading Co. L.L.C.

Responsibility

At Nineveh, responsibility is not an add-on or a marketing claim. It is embedded in every transaction, every partnership, and every decision we make. We believe that serious gold trading must be conducted with integrity, transparency, and a clear sense of duty — toward our suppliers, our buyers, our regulators, and the communities connected to the metal we trade.

“Trust is not claimed. It is demonstrated — in every transaction, every verification, and every partnership we choose to build.”

Ethical sourcing & traceability

We source gold exclusively through verified, relationship-driven supply chains across Africa — primarily Zimbabwe and Tanzania. Every supplier in our network is subject to direct, on-ground verification conducted by Nineveh’s own team. We do not rely on third-party certifications alone.

Our goal is simple: to know exactly where our gold comes from, who handled it, and under what conditions it was produced. This traceability extends from mine or aggregation point to final delivery in the United Arab Emirates.

We do not accept material from conflict zones, unlicensed operations, or sources that cannot demonstrate lawful origin and responsible practices.

Anti-money laundering (AML) & compliance

In gold trading, compliance is the foundation of trust. Nineveh operates under a strict internal AML framework that exceeds regulatory minimums. Every counterparty — whether supplier, intermediary, or buyer — undergoes rigorous due diligence before any transaction proceeds.

Our controls include

  • Know Your Counterparty (KYC) — Full legal verification of all trading partners
  • Source of funds & wealth checks — Where required by risk assessment
  • Transaction monitoring — Real-time screening for unusual patterns
  • Record retention — Full audit trails maintained for regulatory review

All trades are executed through regulated, formal banking channels. We do not use cash or unverified payment methods.

Responsible production in Tanzania

Through our direct involvement in mining operations in Tanzania, we take responsibility for more than just trading. We work alongside licensed local operators to ensure that production meets both legal standards and our own internal code of conduct.

This includes

  • Respect for local labour laws and fair working conditions
  • No use of child labour or forced labour
  • Environmentally conscious site management
  • Transparent royalty and tax payments to relevant authorities

Our presence on the ground allows us to monitor these standards continuously — not through audits alone, but through daily operational oversight.

ESG commitment

While Nineveh is a trading house first, we recognise the growing importance of Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) principles in the precious metals industry. We are committed to continuous improvement in three areas:

Environment

We encourage responsible waste management and water use at partner mine sites. In our own offices, we minimise paper use, favour digital documentation, and reduce unnecessary travel where alternative communication is effective.

Social

We respect the rights and dignity of all workers in our supply chain. We engage with local communities through our African partners, supporting stable employment and fair commercial practices that benefit local economies.

Governance

Our internal governance is built on transparency, clear contractual terms, and separation of duties. Decision-making is documented. Conflicts of interest are declared and managed.

Third-party relationships & audits

Nineveh works only with counterparties who share our commitment to responsible trade. Where appropriate, we reserve the right to conduct or commission independent audits of suppliers and logistics partners.

We also welcome reasonable enquiries from serious institutional buyers regarding our compliance framework, sourcing policies, and internal controls. Transparency is not something we hide behind — it is something we demonstrate on request.

Our responsibility pledge

We do not claim perfection. We claim effort, transparency, and a willingness to be held accountable.

Nineveh pledges to continue improving its responsible sourcing practices, to remain fully compliant with UAE and international trade regulations, and to place integrity above short-term commercial gain.
